Paysafe Appoints Miroslav Bojilov as General Manager, Bulgaria
Leadership team further bolstered by hire of new HR Director
Paysafe, a leading global provider of payment solutions, has appointed Miroslav Bojilov as General Manager for Bulgaria. Bojilov is a seasoned executive who has spent the last 15 years in overseas management consulting roles. Eight of those were spent within the payments practice of Deloitte Consulting in the US, leading complex strategy and operational improvement initiatives at financial services, technology and payments corporations.
Bojilov’s role, which has been created based on Paysafe’s plans for further growth and development in Bulgaria, is to lead the company’s local operations. He will be responsible for the daily running of the Sofia office as a key Paysafe location, ensuring that the office continues to support the company’s global operational, IT and Development growth plans, attracting and retaining great talent, fostering a great working environment and collaborating with third parties in Bulgaria.

Bojilov is returning to Bulgaria after spending most of the last 20 years in the US – including his time at Deloitte Consulting, followed by seven years as an established independent payments strategy and operations consultant. In this capacity, he acted as an external advisor during the due diligence and integration planning phases of Optimal Payments’ acquisition of Skrill in August 2015 – an important milestone for the company which re-branded from Optimal Payments to Paysafe in November 2015.
The Paysafe management team in Bulgaria is further strengthened by the appointment of a new Human Resources Director, Petya Nikolova. Nikolova will lead the local HR, training and recruitment team in Bulgaria and will be responsible for the organisational and business unit effectiveness, employee relations and engagement.
Nikolova joins the company from insurance company Generali Group, where she was Head of HR, responsible for the company’s award-winning employer branding projects in Bulgaria, following which she was in the Group Talent Management team at the company’s head office in Milan.

Paysafe moved into new facilities in Sofia at the end of 2015, has seen strong growth in its employee base over the last two years with plans to hire an additional 100 incremental staff in the coming months. The team currently consists of around 750 professionals. Today, Paysafe’s Sofia hub is the centre for the Paysafe group’s global operations, including technology, infrastructure, risk, fraud and customer services.
