Hypoport Sofia expands its team and invests in its own building
The company is a preferred employer in Germany and attracts with its stable business model and established Agile practices
Hypoport Sofia, part of the Hypoport Group, a network of technology companies for the credit, real estate, and insurance industries, will expand and attract new people. Despite the challenging times, the company managed to build its own new office in the central Sofia region, close to Paradise Mall – the new home of the growing team of professionals. Sofia is an international location of the German corporation, which is part of the SDAX (index for small and medium-sized companies) on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The organizations in the Hypoport Group have focused on the mission to accelerate the digitalization process. They develop innovative B2B solutions for the credit and insurance sectors, as well as for the real estate sector. Hypoport is one of the market leaders in the FinTech industry in Germany – the company collaborates with more than 800 banks. The organization has a network of more than 30 companies with over 2,200 employees in Europe. The company’s headcount in Bulgaria is 55 people, who focus on the development of long-term products. Hypoport Sofia has an Agile mentality combined with the security of a German corporation. In 2021, Hypoport was recognized as an employer of choice in Germany for the third consecutive year.
Part of Hypoport Sofia’s efforts is focused on delivering opportunities for German companies in the Hypoport network to create an international development team, supporting the teams in setting up remote work. “We call our approach “remote development done right” – establishing a high standard for software development, regardless of where the team members are and how long they have been with us. According to a survey, nearly 85% of the employees confirm that the company has met their expectations, while for close to ¼ of the people – it has even exceeded them.

Hypoport teams of subsidiaries FIO Systems and fundingport are currently operating under the company’s umbrella – Hypoport Sofia. Another one – Maklaro, is expected to join soon to enlarge Hypoport’s footprint in Sofia.
